Her previous singles ‘What If The Love Does,’ ‘Save Yourself’ and the breakout hit ‘Chasing Butterflies’ before it, ‘My People’ and most recently 'Over & Over' features lush, baroque pop production, MANE’s soaring vocals, and dark, furious energy that serves to only intensify the lyrics she sings. Indeed, as the chorus rolls out, the repetition of the words “My people!” almost serves as a call to arms to all of us trapped and separated by circumstance, to remember that although we’re forced apart in order to protect each other, love and the human spirit will be the things that that will keep out lives together in the end. With the release of her newest track "Hi Lo", she presents a very luscious sound that will certainly intrigue your ears. To explain the track a bit further MANE says "it's essentially a letter to my mental health. I wanted to write about what it has felt like for me and in order to do that, I had to really try and separate myself from the feeling and write about it as if it was a totally separate being to me and that in itself was really relieving. " To the vocals and production, this track really projects a breaking free feeling that would surely have you wanting to dance.
