Xtheflare - "Try Me"

Xtheflare, born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, started making waves in the local music scene at just 15 years old. Initially gaining attention as a rapper, he quickly began to experiment with and blend genres such as rap, R&B, rock, and pop. However, Xtheflare's burgeoning career faced a severe setback when he was arrested at 15 and tried as an adult, resulting in a 12-year prison sentence. This could have been the end of his musical journey, but instead, it became a crucial chapter in his story of resilience and creativity. During his time in prison, Xtheflare—who prefers to go by "X"—did not let his circumstances define him. He delved deeper into music, using it as an emotional outlet and a means of coping with the harsh realities of his situation. He learned basic keyboard skills, which played a significant role in developing his emotionally charged and genre-blending sound. This period of introspection and musical exploration laid the groundwork for the artist he would become. Upon his release, X relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, determined to reignite his music career, which he felt had been unfairly paused. Since then, he has made significant strides, releasing seven tracks on major streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. His discography includes three music videos, the latest being a 1920s-themed visual for his catchy single "Full Throttle" from his EP titled "In My Head." This body of work showcases his ability to fuse different genres and create music that is both personal and universally relatable. Xtheflare's music is a testament to his journey and his unyielding spirit. He makes music not only to tell his epic story of perseverance but also because he genuinely loves the craft. His carefree spirit and fearlessness are undeniably products of his life experiences. With each new project, he continues to push boundaries and explore new musical territories, always focusing on what's next. His newest single, "Try Me," is a prime example of this exploration. It's one of the first songs where X was able to fully showcase all the influences that have shaped him as an artist. From writing the chords himself on the guitar to collaborating with a producer he vibes with, the song evolved from its original conception into something entirely different. "Try Me" exhibits a blend of vocal range and lyricism that X believes is the perfect combination for a danceable track. It's a vibe, as he puts it, and a testament to his growth and versatility as an artist. Xtheflare’s story is one of triumph over adversity, and his music is a reflection of that journey. Ready or not, here is Xtheflare, and he's here to stay.
