The Official 4pm - "Those Eyes"

If you're a fan of soulful tunes that bridge the gap between the past and present, The Official 4pm is an act you need to know. With a unique blend of Retro Soul and Contemporary R&B, they're here to make you feel "Happy, Sexy, and Romantic" through their music. The Official 4pm's sound is reminiscent of legendary groups like Boyz II Men, but with a fresh twist. Their journey began in 1991 when Roberto Pena Jr., Reney (Ray) Pena, Larry McFarland, and Martiz Ware came together to form an acapella group called "IV Real." However, it wasn't until 1994 that their talent caught the attention of a record label executive, leading to a name change to "4PM" and the recording of their debut album. In February 1995, 4PM achieved a significant milestone when their debut single, "Sukiyaki," secured the #8 spot on Billboard's Top Ten Chart. This track, released under the Now's The Time/Next Plateau label, went on to achieve Gold certification in the U.S., Canada, and Japan, and Platinum certification in Australia. Their musical journey continued with the release of their second studio album, "A Light In The Dark," in 1997. While the single "I Gave You Everything" reached #67 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles Chart, it was clear that 4PM had established themselves as a force in the R&B scene. After a brief hiatus, Roberto, Ray, and Larry returned to the music scene, releasing "For Positive Music" in 2000 and "Sweet Soul" in 2001, showcasing their enduring commitment to creating soulful melodies. Fast forward to August 2022, and The Official 4pm rekindled their passion for music, partnering with James (JB) Bailey at Red Room Recordings in Wilmington, Delaware, to work on a new album. However, their plans were temporarily derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced a pause in their creative process. In July 2022, a call was made to JB at Red Room Recordings, and by August, 4PM was back in action, crafting their latest project titled "A Song For Everyone." On December 16, 2022, The Official 4pm treated their fans to the first single and video from this project, "Some Of The Time," released under The Official 4pm Records label. To stay updated with The Official 4pm and their soulful musical journey, be sure to follow them on all social media platforms @Theofficial4pm. They're back and ready to infuse your life with their signature blend of Retro Soul and Contemporary R&B.
