Introducing a talented group known as New Wolves they are a 3 piece indie electronica band formed in 2019. Brought up in the space where the Welsh mountains rise and the old industries fail, the band throws both concepts in their acoustic meets broken synthesizer instrumentation, and high, floating vocals with contrasting low, rhythmic harmonies.
They are building a good reputation with the music blogs and radio for creating warm, wonky, synth-driven guitar music. Their distinctive sound, at once strangely leftfield but familiar enough to draw in the alt-curious, has been described with the question: "What would a 2020 Kraftwerk sound like if Elliot Smith was in the band?"They are quickly building into an acclaimed new act with a unique sound, particularly with music writers and influencers, their first self released singles being described as 'song that stood out in the harvest of new music - POPMUZIK' and 'we haven’t stopped playing them in the Gas Mask HQ '. With the release of their newest single "City Air", they project a nostalgic track that will certainly captivate your ears. Beginning with smooth synth instrumentation leading onto their sweet and luscious vocals they complete the track fully. Explaining the single further it's a laid-back, summer anthem for the confused summers of the early '20s. Written when the first southern breezes were beginning to warm the city, and the galleries and cafes were opening up to the world again. An optimistic song with a wistful, catchy vocal melody. Carrying on the New Wolves distinct sound of synthetic meets natural, decayed industry crossed with neat suburb, jarring synths lying underneath warm acoustic guitars and floating vocals. To the vocals and production, this track will surely have your head nodding. Being just perfect for a late-night drive or a day out on the beach. Go stream "City Air" and check out their discography which is filled with amazing tracks.
