Modern Moxie is an indie pop/rock band based in Charlotte, NC. Hailing from a small South Carolina town, multi-instrumentalist Madison Lucas took up songwriting in college, mostly confined to her dorm room closet. By 2011, she found herself with enough songs to make an album, and wanting to move forward with her musical endeavors, teamed up with producer Kenny McWilliams (Archer Avenue Studio) and Dave Harris (Studio B Mastering) to release her first effort entitled the bedroom ep. Big Wave was written by Madison Lucas of Modern Moxie around the beginning of the COVID pandemic. An anger fueled rip roaring ride through all the emotions associated with political, biological and intellectual fear. To us this single felt like a definite big sync song, this song sounds like the main character is running away or on a chase. The switch ups get you moving and we're looking to definitely hear more, we're so in love with the vocal mixing on the record as well with the saturation really cutting through the speakers.
