Amazing artist Mike Baretz a Jersey kid, whose hometown wasn't known for its support of the arts. Despite this, he gravitated toward music. As a kid, he taught himself guitar by ear and learned the basics of recording in a bedroom. Upping his self-taught game, Baretz studied with Juilliard's Justin Dello Joio and gained new wisdom in writing, recording, and performing music. This drive allowed Baretz to hone a sound using articulate artistry to create catchy melodies everybody can relate to. He's captured hearts with his intricate instrumentality and lucid lyricism as seen in his past collaborations. He's broken through those hometown barriers and is using music to bring people together, a community for those who may not have one at home. Following the release of his newest single "Worth It" he projects a ravishing sound that will definitely grasp your attention. Starting with upbeat instrumentation leading onto his soft and smooth vocals he completes the song entirely. Explaining the track a bit further it's about encapsulating a see-saw of self-doubt paired with an almost-delusional belief in and love for someone. It zooms in on insecurities and flaws but is packaged in a 'happy' tone. When the chorus kicks in, the blind eye is turned from the internal doubts and insecurities and focuses on that person that makes you forget about everything having to do with the real world, those insecurities included. To the vocals and production, this single will surely have you vibing and possibly relating to the lyrics. It would be just great for a late-night drive or a walk down the beach after dawn. Go stream "Worth It".
