Lazygirl - "Withdrawals"

Introducing "Withdrawals" by Lazygirl, a neo-soul track that turns an everyday mishap into a profound exploration of our dependencies. Picture this: you forget to pick up your prescription, and suddenly, the world starts to unravel. The real twist here is "Withdrawals" isn't just a song about this mundane circumstance, it also moves into another world, it's a quirky, sample-driven journey that delves subtly into existential themes, sparking a conversation about our relationship with the things that keep us anchored in life. Everyone has that one thing they're anchored to. The song is a tricky subject but only shows the strength of the musicians writing we think, it just isn't bland. "Withdrawals" was brought to life in collaboration with Rich Harris-Bond at Wise Tree Studios. The production journey, ironically, stretched over 18 months, mirroring Lazygirl's own struggles with withdrawal symptoms that impacted her creativity and motivation. It's happened to most of us we think...This personal struggle inspired the song's captivating bridge, an immersive experience peppered with samples from Lazygirl's childhood home videos by the seaside. The track's combination of a memorable hook, infectious melody lines, and punchy percussion makes it not just deeply authentic but irresistibly catchy. Listen to see what we mean!
