Band Ladytron has recently released their latest single "Faces". The track is a haunting, euphoric offering that evokes bittersweet longing and a sense of escape.
Over an echoing disco soundscape, "Faces" (taken from the Cassavetes film of the same name) features expansive synth-heavy production that recalls 1970s euro diva Amanda Lear. The track follows Ladytron's first two singles from their upcoming album Time's Arrow, "City of Angels" and "Misery Remember Me". Both tracks garnered media praise upon their release, with "City of Angels" and its accompanying music video being described by Flood as a "dynamic electronic track with rich, industrial textures and utopian, shoegaze melodies".
In addition to the release of "Faces", Ladytron has announced West Coast U.S. tour dates for Spring 2023, where they will take the stage in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco in support of their forthcoming album. These will follow a run of previously-announced UK dates in March 2023 in Glasgow, Liverpool, and London. Tickets for Ladytron's shows are on sale now.
Overall, "Faces" is a fantastic single from Ladytron. The track is a haunting, euphoric offering that showcases the band's unique sound and talent. We can't wait to hear more from them in the future.
