Introducing Jenny Kern a Canadian-born Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter with a dreamy indie-pop sound, Jenny Kern’s magnetic vocal style and emotive lyricism gained global attention in 2019 after the release of her debut single “Slow Burn”. She was immediately invited on her first international tour in Europe and featured on MTV, ABC, and The CW. In fall 2019 Jenny recorded two singles “Satellite” and “Now We Know” with producer Andy Seltzer (Maggie Rogers, Chelsea Cutler, Valley). Her first single release of 2021, Come Back For Me, is another collaboration with producer Andy Seltzer. Released in January of this year, "Come Back For Me" caught the attention of legendary radio voice and programmer Bruce Warren and has spun on XPN and NPR’s World Cafe. 2021 has also seen Jenny’s music placed on several Spotify editorial playlists including Fresh Finds, Indie All-Stars, and New Music Friday which collectively have well over 1 million followers. With the release of her newest single "Where Did The Time Go" she projects a very outstanding track that will surely intrigue your ears. Beginning with soft but yet upbeat instrumentation leading onto her sweet and full vocals she completes the track entirely. To explain the single further it's a relentlessly honest song about a constant struggle with anxiety. The production is layered with lush synths and vivacious rhythms all while addressing the decidedly heavy search for life’s meaning. It strikes the listener with a kind of honest confusion. In a gentle tone, Jenny throws questions into the universe (“Where did the good go?/Where did it go?”) and seems to give up before they’re answered (“Cause I don’t know, I don’t know where to go anymore,” and later, “Maybe there’s nothing left/Maybe there’s nothing left”). To the vocals and production, this track can truly resonate with listeners. It would be just right for a late-night drive or alone within your thoughts. Go stream "Where Did The Time Go" and check out her discography which is filled with astounding tracks.
