Two amazing artist's have come together to present one outstanding track called "only one". Jay Squared aka John Johnson Jr, was born Sept. 30th 1994 in Detroit, MI. Hailing as an alternative hip hop artist, Jay’s goal has always been to push the boundaries of the culture and blend sounds into an unconventional audio journey. Flirting with the lines between poetry and experimental hip hop, Jay Squared has advanced his sound through his work within and out of his native city. Over the years of his development, he has landed on Complex, the Metro Times (one of Detroit's premiere publications) and performed at multiple local festivals (such as Arts, Beats, and Eats, Dally in the Alley etc). Jay has also cultivated a fan base across the world working with producers such as Whyandotte, Tomppabeats, Rook1e, mt. fujitive, j'san & many other phenomenal artists. Founder of the Detroit hip hop supergroup Forever Golden with members such as Whyandotte, Curtis Roach, Santana Davinci & B Free. Jay is taking his career and brand to new heights. Self proclaiming himself as the “JIKANPAPA” Jay Squared’s main motivation is to utilize the time we all have to explore art in every sense. He will continue to reach out to different artists, experiment with the culture and continue to take it to new heights until the end of time. As well as Curtis Roach who is 21 years old from Detroit, who has also worked on his own music for sometime now and with his amazing vocals he completes the feature on this track fully. With the release of their newest single "only one" they project one groovy track that will truly captivate your ears. Starting the track with an upbeat sound leading onto their sweet and luscious vocals they complete the track entirely. Explaining the track further it's about two cousins who were born and raised in Detroit, they come from classic Motown roots, there singers from back in the day and used to sing about how much they loved one person, it's a heartwarming feeling to say the least and they wanted to recreate that. To the vocals and production this track will surely get your body swaying. Being just perfect for a late night drive or watching the sunset by the beach. Go stream "only one" and check out their discography which is filled with amazing tracks.
