Ivano Icardi - "Ambersun"

Ivano Icardi, a name synonymous with musical excellence, has been making waves in the world of jazz fusion. With a career spanning several decades, his contributions as a guitarist, producer, composer, and songwriter have left an indelible mark on the music industry.

Born in 1975, Icardi's musical journey began at a tender age, with his guitar becoming an extension of himself. His prodigious talent led him to participate in numerous national guitar competitions, marking the early signs of a promising career.

As a producer, Icardi's work has graced "Platinum Awards" albums, and he's been an active collaborator with major labels such as Warner, Sony, and Universal. His compositions have found a home in the media, working with renowned Italian television companies and even contributing to global brands like Coca-Cola, Nivea, Toyota, Lacoste, and more.

In 2010, Icardi decided to embark on a solo career, releasing instrumental guitar tracks that culminated in his 2013 album, "Walking with the Giants," published by the international record label of guitar legend Steve Vai, Digital Nations.

Continuing to push boundaries, Icardi explored new horizons with collaborations that included Gregg Bissonette, Bryan Beller, Fabrizio Grossi, John Giblin, Kenny Aronoff, and Alessandro Alessandroni Jr. His second solo album, "So Far Away," in 2016, showcased his growth as a musician.

A highlight in his journey was his participation in the Umbria Blues Festival in 2019, alongside Ariel Posen, Josh Smith, and Jeff McErlain, which resulted in the live album "Ivano Icardi - Live at Umbria Blues Festival."

Fast forward to October 12, 2023, and we witness the debut of Icardi's album "Unconventional," featuring Riccardo Fioravanti on double bass and Elio Rivagli on drums. This work is not just an album; it's a significant stylistic evolution, garnering critical acclaim and solidifying Icardi's position as a trailblazer in the Italian contemporary jazz scene.

But the journey doesn't end with music alone. Icardi's dedication to his craft is evident in the publication of the book "Unconventional: The Art of Modern Guitar," providing insights into the creative process behind this revolutionary musical production.

Beyond his musical pursuits, Icardi has established Skyline Studio, a modern recording studio recognized by "Music Tech" magazine for its acoustic and design excellence. Here, he continues to offer his expertise as a sound engineer and mastering engineer to fellow artists.

Teaching has been a parallel passion for Icardi, with over 30 years of experience as an educator. He has nurtured the talents of numerous students, passing on his wealth of knowledge and experience.
