Flostate Introduce A Dreamy Track With "Home Ground"
Upcoming artist's Flostate is a fantasy R&B duo from space. Consisting of producer MKSTN and songwriter Avery Florence, two worlds collide creating multi-instrumental soundscapes and virtuous vocals. Flõstate is the effortless, endless search. Inspired by a wide variety of artists and genres, the duo site acts such as Beach House, Galimatias, Tame Impala, Jimi Hendrix, Lana Del Rey, Bon Iver, Enya, Little Mermaid, Matt Corby, Jeff Buckley and Pink Floyd as key influences to their sound. Following their newest release "Home Ground" it emerges from the sedated downtempo R&B soundscape which "Time" established, with producer MKSTN taking influences from UK garage, indie electronic and pop to create what can only be described as a sublime mish-mash of sounds, all held together by songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Avery Florence's ethereal vocals. It's one dreamy track that one listen just wouldn't be enough. Having a calming feel to the track this would it perfectly for a night at the beach or just have a romantic dinner with someone special. To explain the track further it's about finding yourself and what you want amidst chaos, with only your intuition to guide you home. It's a two-part song, “Pt.1” being stripped down with just piano, wind chimes, and vocals, and “Pt. 2” with heavy production to play with contrast - calm versus chaos. The production is our most intricate to date, experimenting with key changes, timing, and swing. Much like how our lives are pieces stitched together from contrasting moments - MKSTN. It's one captivating track that is surely worth the listen go stream "Home Ground".
