Evripidis and His Tragedies With His Nostalgic Track "Girlfriend"

Upcoming artist Evripidis and His Tragedies is the handsome and goofy alter-ego of Evripidis Sabatis (born and raised in Athens, based in Barcelona). Through his devastating, confesional and darkly humorous pop songs he tries to dissect and ultimately own the vicissitudes of life, invoking a pop sensibility featuring quirky lyrics as he takes us for a bumpy, dancy ride across the fine line between tragedy and joie de vivre. He draws influences from the vast spectre of pop music of the last 60 years, adding his classical piano training. He has released four full-length LPs to the day, three of them sung mostly in English and the last one sung entirely in Greek while he is about to release a fifth one, featuring a shift towards a synthetic sound. Following the release of his newest single "Girlfriend" he projects a soothing track that will surely grasp your attention. Starting the track with a soft but yet vibrant beat leading onto his sweet and luscious vocals he completes the track fully. Explaining the track further it's a love letter to a friend, an acknowledgment and celebration of her significance in the narrator’s life and a statement of allyship. It was inspired by Evripidis’ reunion with a long-time and dear soulmate in Athens, their shared hometown. The song opens with an arpeggiator, which sets the tone for a synth-pop, dancey but also deeply confessional ride, where two friends reminiscence about the long and winding road that has made them inseparable. To the vocals and production this song presents a very nostalgic sound that will truly get your body moving. Making it just perfect for a late night drive or just being alone within your thoughts. Go stream "Girlfriend" and check out his discography which is filled with amazing tracks.
