Emeryld - “Bloodline”

Today, emerging artist Emeryld announces her new EP, Bloodline, set to be released in January on Neon Gold Records. The new EP follows the release of Emeryld's hit singles "Bombs Away" and "Scandal," and today she's also sharing the EP's titletrack and accompanying visual.

Emeryld is the latest addition to Neon Gold Records, the record label behind artists such as Charli XCX, HAIM, MARINA, Christine and the Queens, and Matt Maeson.

In her latest single, "Bloodline," Emeryld tackles the often cringe-worthy and performative actions of potential suitors in a playful and campy manner. In her own words, Emeryld says, "I think a lot of our habits and ways of being trace back to childhood. It's inherently in our bloodline, but the cool thing is we can practice unweaving ourselves from the webs of habit that don't serve us. It takes work to become the version of ourselves we would admire that feels authentic and enough. Bloodline on the surface is honestly blaming everyone else and their predisposition and realizing my tangled webs through the process."

Fans of Emeryld can expect more candid and relatable tracks like "Bloodline" on her upcoming EP. Be on the lookout for the release of Bloodline in January, and in the meantime, check out the titletrack and accompanying visual.
