Done Wright - Aruba

Upcoming artist Done Wright is an American rapper, vocalist, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur born in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. In 1985 his parents moved to the South Jamaica section of Queens where he was raised. Growing up in “South Side” he lost many of his friends to the street life and the prison system. He grew up listening to lyrical greats like Rakim, Kool G. Rap, Nas, B.I.G., and Jay-Z and was influenced to become a rap artist as well. Done’s style is very witty, charismatic, and thought-provoking, complimented with a smooth delivery. He knows how to craft massive, anthemic records. The majority of it is his lyrical ability and his voice, which is powerful, and intriguing. In 2009 he began pursuing a musical career and founded his own record label, HardWork Entertainment. The first official release was his debut EP "Penny 2 A Million" (2009), produced exclusively by Sha Skillz. After the minimal success of his first release, the two parted ways to focus on their own musical endeavors. With consistency being one of his strengths, Done Wright continued his path to success in 2012 with his “Supply Work, Demand Respect” series. Today, his production is featured on his songs with Bookkeeper141 as Green Regime. In closing, he has consistently and independently delivered quality music, videos, short films, and a clothing line. Following the release of his newest single "Aruba", he presents a dazzling sound that will certainly grasp your ears. Beginning with smooth instrumentation leading onto his bright and intoxicating vocals he completes the song fully. Explaining the track a bit further it's a ticket to paradise with its lush soundscape, tropical beats, and easy-going rap bars. Done Wright excels in creating atmosphere through his music, and "Aruba" captures the chilled-out, good vibes of being on vacation. It's all about rest, relaxation, and indulgence.
