Upcoming artist Ceci is a Cuban American singer and songwriter based out of Miami and NYC that has been putting stories to music for more than half of her life, participating in the local music and theater scene since childhood. Inspired by some of her favorite artists like Erykah Badu, Dominic Fike, and SZA, her style fuses together R&B melodies with pop and indie beats that help her write to tell a tale that is as universal as it is unique. With the release of her newest single "telly", she projects one amazing track that will surely have you dancing. Starting the track with an upbeat sound leading onto her sweet and luscious vocals she completes the track fully. Explaining the track further it's about her experience growing up in a toxic partying environment in Miami. they started clubbing at 14, close friends battling serious drug addictions their sophomore year of high school, and many other things they participated in before we turned 18 because they thought they could and thought they wanted to. The song reflects her realization of wanting something more than what she began to realize these functions really were: status events for children who so desperately wanted to be adults. The overall track is truly relatable and just perfect to jam out to. I could also imagine this being played at a party or for a late night drive. Go stream "telly" and be on the lookout for future releases from this talented artist.
