AQUILO With Their Soothing Track "Our Bones Turn To Stone"

Introducing one captivating duo known as Aquilo consisting of Ben Fletcher and Tom Higham, grew up in Silverdale, a coastal Lake District village in the North of England. When Tom moved home after studying at university in Leeds, he had taken on a job at a factory back home. He and Ben started collaborating in the evenings. Tom spent those factory shifts listening to the songs they had been working on and eventually uploaded their first track, Calling Me to Soundcloud where it found its way to No. 1 on Hype Machine. Soon after they gained recognition, they decided to move to London where they made their debut album ‘Silhouettes’ in 2017 working with Londoner SOHN and Iceland’s Ólafur Arnalds. Following the success of their debut, they wrote, self-produced and released their second album 'ii' within a year of the first. With the release of their newest single "Our Bones Turn To Stone," they project a very soothing sound that will surely grasp your attention. Beginning with soft instrumentation leading onto sweet and luscious vocals they complete the single fully. Explaining the song further it's a heart-quivering song that yearns for home over shimmering piano and strings. It was written two years ago when the duo - Ben Fletcher and Tom Higham - returned home to Silverdale from Los Angeles and discovered that embracing their roots was all the inspiration that they needed. And so just before Christmas, in the studio in Ben’s parent’s basement that they first made music in, Aquilo crafted one of their favorite ever songs. To the vocals and production, this track will surely bring some peace and calm when listening. Being just perfect for a late-night drive or alone within your thoughts. Go stream "Our Bones Turn To Stone" and check out their discography which is filled with astounding tracks.
