Alta Falls - “Tried To Forget About”

Alta Falls is an electro-pop duo based in Brisbane, Australia, known for their nostalgic and energetic music. Their latest single, "Tried To Forget About," features a danceable shuffle beat, vintage synths, and emotive lyrics that transport listeners back to the 80s. The song was originally written in a folky style but was transformed into an 80s banger by their producer Aidan Hogg.

The lyrics tell the story of lead singer Nathanael's childhood friend and their memories of riding pushbikes around the Western suburbs of Brisbane and writing songs together. The duo has previously worked with Aidan Hogg and drummer Sebastian ‘Baz’ Jennings Hingston (Tia Gostelow) for their debut EP and subsequent releases.

Since their debut, Alta Falls has received personal endorsements from the OG Yellow Wiggle and gained over 100,000 followers on TikTok. They have also received airplay on triple j for their single "Trust Me." The duo released their debut single, "Take Me On Down," in April 2021, which explores the social and global landscapes brought to light by the pandemic.

Alta Falls combines a wide range of influences from various artists, including The Preatures, Spacey Jane, The Weeknd, and The Wombats, to create their unique indie sound. They are set to release their highly anticipated second EP, which promises to feature their signature synthy charm, insightful lyricism, and danceable beats.
