Alba Rose Slows Things Down With "Serendipity"
Oustanding artist Alba Rose is an indie-soul singer-songwriter based in Wellington, New Zealand. The name Alba, meaning ‘sunrise,’ is derived from her Spanish heritage and is also her middle name, with the word translating to ‘first light of the early dawn’. On the 27th of August 2021, Alba released her debut single ‘Eve’. Her debut EP titled ‘Silhouette’ was released on the 12th of November (2021) encompassing a four-track compilation of indie-soul, jazz, indie-pop and contemporary sonics. With an eventful New Zealand summer planned with performances booked for indie summer festivals around the country, Alba has been described to be “progressively on her way to becoming one of the most prominent voices in the indie-pop music scene south of the Equator”. With the release of her newest single "Serendipity", she presents a very dreamy sounding track that will surely intrigue your ears. Beginning with soft instrumentation leading onto her sweet and nostalgic vocals she completes the single fully. Explaining the track further it's about the common human nature of believing and seeing only what we want to believe, which in actual fact is quite different from the reality of a situation. Exploring the idea of realising that what we think is not always real and that often we paint an idea in our mind that is greater/better than reality; which in this case relates to a relationship and not wanting to accept that the two people are out of sync and in different worlds. To the vocals and production, this song will definitely have you feeling like you are in peace. Perfect for a day out on the beach or for a late-night drive. Go stream "Serendipity".
