Al Sharp - "Target Practice"

Al Sharp, a Bronx-born artist, has etched his name onto the music scene with his powerful and socially conscious hip-hop tracks. From his album "The Voice of the Unheard 2," the track "Target Practice" stands out as a testament to his skill in delivering hard-hitting messages through his music. This track blends the genres of Hip-Hop, Conscious Hip-Hop, and Gangsta Rap, underpinned by the rhythmic foundation of BoomBap. The resulting sound is as aggressive as it is thought-provoking.

Growing up in The Bronx, Al Sharp was enveloped by music from an early age. Given his surroundings and passion, it was only natural that he would be drawn to a career in music. His journey began in Junior High School, where he first started honing his skills as a writer. As his talent flourished, he found like-minded individuals who shared his aspirations for musical stardom. It wasn't long before he teamed up with Inf Dot and his long-time friend Fingaz to establish the collective Reign of Terror. This collaboration paved the way for his initial forays into recording, while also igniting his interest in music production.

Under Al Sharp's guidance, the distinct sound of Reign of Terror was forged. However, it was a friend's inspiration that propelled him to create "Strength in Numbers Compilation Vol. 1," an album entirely produced by Al Sharp himself. This project served as an introduction to his multifaceted skills as an artist and producer, receiving acclaim for its unique sound. Continuing to build on this momentum, he embarked on the "Fist Born: The Beginning" project and extended his production talents to aspiring artists.

Relocating to California, Al Sharp has carried his passion and expertise with him. In 2018, he dropped "Audio Narcotic," showcasing his evolution and growth as an artist. Years of dedicated work with both seasoned veterans and emerging talents culminated in his sixth solo album, "The Voice of the Unheard." This album not only reflects Al Sharp's mastery of his craft but also represents his commitment to giving voice to the marginalized and the overlooked.

"Target Practice" is emblematic of Al Sharp's ability to blend genres seamlessly, creating music that is both socially relevant and musically compelling. The fusion of Hip-Hop, Conscious Hip-Hop, Gangsta Rap, and BoomBap elements in this track mirrors the intricacies of his message. Through years of dedication and refinement, Al Sharp has emerged as a beacon of authenticity in the hip-hop world, and "The Voice of the Unheard 2" stands as a testament to his unwavering dedication to his art.
